I'm Beside Myself... My Cat Died In His Sleep Today! Update on Page 4
Today started out so well. My sister found out she was finally having a girl after having 4 boys.
Then I found my cat dead on my kitchen floor. I started screaming, DH tried to give him CPR our tenant heard me scream and came up to see if everything was okay. She stayed with DD and DH and I took him to the Animal Hospital. They tried to save him, but he was already dead
I've been crying all day. His 4th birthday would have been May 10th. I'm so in shock and I can't stop crying. He's my baby. I saved him and his sisters, they were strays, I found them in PA.
The vet said he probably had a heart condition, it might have been exasperated(sp?) by how large he was (not fat, he was over 2 feet long and weighed 30 lbs).
I just can't believe he's gone. When we came home from the vet my DD was looking for him. We're burying him at Bide-A-Wee with my other pets tomorrow.
(This is the cat who I turned into the "service panther" on a thread last week)
I'm traumatized by finding him dead. I can't get that image out of my mind.

I am so sorry that you went through this! I buried both my dog and my cat within 3 weeks of each other this past month, so I know how you feel. Try your hardest to get the images out of your head and distract yourself with other things. The pain will subside with time, but distraction is the best medicine right now. I hope that you feel better!

I am so sorry. My cat was in a coma and my sister had to put him down while I was on a cruise in the middle of Alaska last summer. I know how it feels. I have lost a few animals, I am so sorry for your loss. There is a great website called rainbow bridge. My heart goes out to you, my deepest condolences.
