If you did CIO for nap time...

How lany days did you have to CIO for? On Monday I'm going to start doing CIO for naps because I want DS to be able to get himself to sleep at naptime (right now, I rock him to sleep).

I'm just looking to see what other people's time frames were.

Thanks!

for us, naps took a bit longer than bedtime. probably a week or two weeks until he would consistently go down for his nap without crying at all....

Same with us.

Naps were much harder. Nighttime took 4-5 days.

Naps took almost 2 weeks.

Re: If you did CIO for nap time...

Naps took longer for DD too. My DD is 16months and still cries herself to sleep for naps but for bedtime she goes right in....she only cries 5-10 mins. I remember reading that most babies do cry to sleep because it is also a way for them to get air out - I guess b/c they aren't really talking. I notice now at 16 months that many times DD cries and then talks herself to sleep lol .....Good Luck!!

Naps are a whole different kind of sleep. It took weeks for DS to #1, fall asleep and #2 stay asleep! GL!
