What have you done? Do you delete the name or number?

When my brother died I couldn't bring myself to delete his number. In fact when I got a new phone I transferred his number along with everyone elses.

I didn't til I got a new phone.

And it hurt when I could no longer scroll through my calls and see the last time I spoke to her

My dad will be gone two years in September and the thought of deleting his cell phone number still makes me sick to my stomach, so its still in there.

Before we turned the phone off in her apartment we called our cell phones and house phones one more time from her apartment. Her house was like our second home. I miss spending time with her there

The last time I talked to my mom she was in the hospital. The hospital number is still in my cell phone. I just cant delete and it have been almost 2.5 years. I still have the emails that were sent around when she went into the hospital and all her funeral details and etc. I keep those letters in a seperate folder. I just am not ready to let them go. :(

I can't bring myself to delelete Grandma's #...I called it the other day and it still hit hard when the operator said it was no longer in service

I've kept all of their numbers.... My friend was killed in a car accident this week. I thinking of cutting and copiying all of our Wall-to-Walls on facebook and myspace into a word document and printing them incase something happens to my account or hers

I was really mad at myself for accidentaly erasing my aunts last phone message to me I didnt have a cell at the time ,but if I did her number would still be in there

I keep it even when I transfer them to my new cell phone. I can't get rid of them.

I kept my father's name and number in my phone, and there's even a photo of him next to it. I couldn't bear to get rid of it. Truth is, for a few months after he died, I called his number, just so I could hear his voice in the message

My father died in 2006. I called his cell phone all the time to hear his voice. Unfortunately, DH needed a new cell phone and we had my dad's lying around still hooked up to the plan b/c my mom didn't want to take it off, so I gave DH my dad's phone. I actually recorded my dad's cell phone message and his work message for that matter, before I let DH erase his message. I cried when he recorded a new one in front of me. So when DH took it I had to change my dad's name from the number and I actually just took out his work numbers too.

One of DH's best friends passed away two years ago next week, and DH still has his number in his cell phone. In fact, we just got new phones and he transferred the number, I asked him if he'll ever get rid of it and he said he just can't...i think it helps him feel in some small way still connected to him

My Dad passed away 16 months ago. My mom wanted to keep his cell phone number for herself, but I never changed it on my cell. So when my mom calls, it says "Dad's cell". The first time she called, I forgot and my heart dropped.

Also, my mom's home number says Mom and Dad. I can't change it.

It has been over 3 years and I WILL NEVER take Keiths name or numbers out of my cell. I also will never use the #2 speed dial again. It was for him. and will stay that way

my BF died 5 years ago on the 27th... After he died, his brother took over his phone so while I still have the number, i REFUSE to change his name to his brothers name. I just can't bring myself to do it...

this was a huge deal for me. when my dad passed, I had his work and cell numbers in my phone and I would not (could not) delete them.

i got a new phone and thought they could transfer the phone book ... well, they couldnt. I had to let go it was hard, very hard!

I did not remove FIL's number for over 1 year afterwards. I think I deleted when we were changing phones. I had a hard time with it.

I still check my mom's email on occassion, she has a lot of saved messages that I like to scan through. I miss her terribly

I take it out right away...I don't need to see the number or name to be reminded...I have enough reminders to be honest- but good and bad

After my mom passed away, I took her name & number out of my cell because I could not look at it.

I kept my stepdads number in my phone and it is still there. Eventually my mom gave the phone to my younger brother..Every time he called me I would see my stepdads name and after a while it was too much to bear so I changed the name to my brothers.
