I "Think" we are gonna get the IVF grant!!!

Saw Dr. Chu this Am...of course Im STILL not responding to the highest dose of bravelle they feel safe giving for an IUI so its off to more days on injects but she said OH the IVF grant coordinator said all she was waiting for was paperwork from you.

I said " HUH"...no one ever contacted me?

so she said Call today...so I speak to the lady and she tells me all the info we need to send in, tax returns and drivers license copies etc. Once they administratively approve all the info is correct, Dr. Scholl at NSUH reviews my chart to make sure my FSH is not sky high and we havent had at least 3 failed IVF's so far. If he approves that then they call me with an approval and have a sit down to discuss how much out of pocket we will need to pay, but its based on a sliding scale and trust me we are on the low end of that scale.

SO...I feel like I have some light at the end of this long month. I can tell already, or just really feel the IUI is not gonna work..although Im praying.

So please keep me in your prayers we get this grant , we could never afford IVF without it.

Of course, I really hope number 14 is the magical number when it comes to IUI's but alas I lost all hope in them for myself a while ago so I can sympathize with you.

Things sound good for the IVF grant. I'll be praying that you get it. How long until you know if you are approved?

Well, I don't know about you and the mail... remember "Inconceivable" you were supposed to mail to me I bought it and finished reading it before you even mailed it out

Do you need me to mail the papers for you?

Donna hope you don't need it but I always like to have a plan of action so it is great you have something positive to work on. I really hope you get this --- I know Columbia also offers a grant, and their IVF fees are pretty low besides..

Of course I hope you do not need the grant, but if you do I hope it comes thru.
I thought grants were only for research type projects. I think it is great that they are helping couples without insurance coverage have IVF.
