Ahh Macy's strikes again. I was expecting a furniture delivery tomorrow - my dresser and top part of the armoir - for our masterbedroom set we ordered months ago.

We received the bed, 2 night tables, dresser mirror and tall chest - after 4 attempts the dresser was still damaged in some area. The armoir was inspected and had a manufacturer defect on it (one door was higher than the other).
They were going to send me a replacement tomorrow.
plus "presidentially" inspect it - to make sure it was not damaged. I couldn't deal or take anymore days off - it was getting to be too much.

Side note: we bought the furniture on my grandmothers macy's account b/c she worked there for 30+ years and we were able to get a 20% discount plus at the time they were running a no sales tax promo.

My grandmother passed away in August.
The phone call I received this morning says that the account has been cancelled and the delivery will not be made. We have already made payments for a different peice of furniture on this same account AFTER her death.
Why wouldn't we still pay it?
So now I am not getting my furniture and who knows if I will. If I do - they may not give me the 20% off and then we'll have to pay right away rather than getting our 6 month deferred payment.
This is ridiculous.

If they do ever deliver the rest of the order, I have to take off yet another day to receive it, I have to all another 3 times and make sure they inspect it before sending it.

In closing, I hate Macys and will probably never buy from them again.
I rather save for longer and invest in a company like Ethan Allen where they don't ship crap to your house and they will replace it the next day. They were supposed to deliver the furniture last week but they said they had "inventory". This is ridiculous!
