I pay 40 dollars a month for THIS?!
So I get in from my trip (flight attendant) and take the shuttle to the employee lot. I get to my car, and it's DEAD- completely dead. The lights hadn't been left on, so I can only assume this happend because of sitting in the cold for 3 days.
I walk all the way to the other side of the lot to where they have a trailer for the people who work in the lot (bus drivers, etc) and explain my situation, figuring someone could give me a jump and I'd be on my way.....
NOPE. There I am in 30 degree weather, with my pregnant belly hanging out and the SUPERVISOR tells me that he can't help me. I asked if they had the number to someone who could. NOPE. Can I call roadside assistance? NOPE- they are not authorized to be on the lot (you need to swipe into the lot). I had used the Call Box to call public safety- HA, their hours are weekdays, 9-5; but feel free to leave a message......
I asked him, "What should I do then?" He tells me to WAIT at the bus stop for EVERY shuttle that comes in and to hop on and ask if there is anyone that could help jump my car. At this point, I'm FREEZING, it's way past any shift changes, so every shuttle was empty. The only people who offered to help were women and couldn't help as I was going to need to put my car in neutral to push it out of the spot so the cables would reach.
I stood out in the COLD for an hour and a half, calling everyone I could, crying and NONE of those lot employees would help me. My DH was frantic- he's working 2 hours away and couldn't help. Anyone that lived near the airport that we knew weren't home. None of his friends that do airport maintenance were at work either.
I finally walked over to the Econo-Park next door and found a person who could help me. He was completely disgusted by the whole thing when I explained what had happend.
He jumped my car for me and hugged me and apologized for what happend. He told me- "I don't care who a person is, I always help a fellow person in need. You KNOW why they didn't help you...." I guess I should add that I'm white and the lot attendants (as well as the good Samaritan) were black.
This evening SUCKED.....

Sorry! This is truly rotten!!!! I think anyone should feel terrible not helping a woman stranded (PG on top of that) in such cold weather.

omg that is so disgusting...I cannot believe nobody would help you!!!!! I am so glad you are ok though and that you finally got home safely.
