I Need Some Cheering Up Ladies--An Extremely WONDERFUL Women Lost Her Battle With Cancer Today!
I am a Kindergarten teacher in Queens. I am in my 10th year. The most wonderful family I EVER had is now destroyed. I just received this letter from the father.
This was in Spanish, a wonderful poster translated it for me:)
Sadly, his wife passed away...
He's saying that he can't believe this, it feels like a dream and he feels like dying. It is very difficult for him and his daughters to go on.This whole letter is basically him saying thank you for all your support and without the support, it wouldn't be possible to keep her at his side. Maritza will hold you in her heart forever.
The one line all the way at the bottom is him asking for donations to transport her back to Bolivia.
(HOW SAD)
Background:
The mother, just suddendly diagnosted with stomach cancer a few months ago passed away today. She leaves behind two AMZING girls I had in Kindergarten. They are now going into 2nd and 4th grade.
I hold an especially special place in my heart for this family because the mother threw me my baby shower in school when I was pregnant with Chloe. I am sitting here holding the pink puppy dog she gave to me signed with all of my student's names. She made is so special! As I hold Chloe today in my arms feeling thankful she has me, I feel sick for the children, just SICK.
Thanks for letting me share. Off to write a nice check to send the father so his wishes are fulfilled, seeing the mom's body flown back to Boliva.
