I made these on Saturday but used country ribs since I couldn't find baby back ribs. They were so awesome, and the sauce was delish. I used Open Pit BBQ Sauce and I also did not use any chili sauce.

I made these on Saturday and they were delicious! I used "Sweet Baby Ray's" BBQ Sauce and after browning them in the oven, I cooked on high for one hour and then on Low for 3 hours. (I was pressed for time and was worried they would be rubbery, but they were PERFECT!)!
DH's friend even asked me for the recipe!

Umm...DELISH!!! DH loved them...he told told his friend all about them..and now they are coming over next week. I was so excited that he talked good about my cooking....

I am making these RIGHT NOW... they've been in the crock pot on low since 10:30 this morning. QUESTION: How do I know when they are done??? I made 5 pounds of ribs. This is the first time ever I am using the crock pot. HELP!!

What I ended up doing was lifting the lid here and there and taking a fork and poking the ribs...when a piece fell off the bone, i knew it was done...for 5 pounds of ribs i bet they'd be done by 6 most definitely!
Lol well its past 6 now so hopefully you got it right! I hope they were good!

I made them Saturday for DH and he moaned while eating them. I asked how they were and he said " effing great" He stalked the crock pot all day, "are they done, how bout now".
I used the JD BBQ sauce also the regular one. I didnt do the chili but he loved them anyway. Im also bringing them as "my dish" to a BBQ next weekend. Thanks, they were tasty.

I tried this recipe with a little tweaking of my own and it is soooooooooo delicious. I, also, used it with chicken. Just as good. Thanks for posting.

I just have to say...I booked marked this post a long time ago, thinking that if I ever get a crockpot, I would try these. Well...I finally got a crockpot, and I made these tonight. They were soooo good! I made these un-fried french fries with them, along with corn on the cob. These were a big hit, and I will definitely make them again.
I agree with the OP, these were cooked on low for about 5 1/2 hours and they fell off the bone!

I made ribs in the crockpot just this week - next time I'm definitely using a little spice thanks to this recipe. Only thing I would suggest, if you like onions, is to chop up about half an onion into slices, and throw that in also. The onions become caramelized in the sauce making it extra delish!
