I am EXTREMELY excited!
JT found out today that he got the job that he interviewed for earlier this week!!!!!!! He WAS working for Cablevision's high definition news station as a freelancer when they offered him a full-time, salaried position. We were totally psyched because he worked his azz off for MONTHS for that job, ONLY TO FIND OUT that there is an indefinite hiring freeze because the station's future is unstable at this point. So our excitement turned to complete panic about a job for him. Well, he interviewed for another company that runs some of the major networks in our area and he got the job! AND the BESTEST part about it is that he is work ALL day shifts, so he'll be home EVERY, SINGLE NIGHT OF THE WEEK!!!!
For those of you who have read my posts in the past, he WAS working almost ALL overnihgts and working like 60 hours a week just to make a decent living, well this job, before his overtime, is already 8K more a year than his old job. I'm SO INCREDIBLY happy right now, I can't even tell you. This will job will afford us so many opportunities in the upcoming months that I cannot even believe it. We finally have the stability we so desperately needed!!!!!! Thanks for reading

This is the ABSOLUTE BEST part about it! They DID offer him an overnight shift, as well, and it does pay 15% more a year, but it's just not worth that extra money. My biggest fear was starting my married life sleeping by myself everynight, but now I don't even need to think about that anymore! And because he works 12 hour shifts, he works 5 days one week, then 2 the next week, so when we have kids, it's the perfect schedule in terms of paying for childcare. I'm just SO relieved!

i know that feeling all too well! when my dh got his new job the over nights stopped and the honeymoon was on again!  ! soooo happy for you !
