How would I know if I have a yeast infection? (TMI)

I am a little itchy (only on the outside) but not consistently and sometimes I have a yellow discharge. I have been putting cream on when I am itchy and it helps. My doc said that an increase in yeast is normal when pg. Has this ever happened to anyone before? Sorry for the TMI!

I have had something similar, but I didn't have an infection. If you want to be sure about not having an infection, go to your OB and have him take a culture.

Usually with a yeast infection, there is a lot of "cottage cheese - like discharge". Yellow discharge could be a bacterial infection - which has a medicine that is different than yeast infection medication, but applied the same way. If you aren't sure, I'd go to your dr. It also could just be normal irritation. I know how annoying this is! Sorry!

You do not need alot of discharge for it to be a yeast infection. I actually just had one myself and I was itchy inside but high. If that makes sense. Just finished my last dose of meds. The doc told me to go and get monistat but I have a bad reaction to it so he wrote me out a script for another insert. Call you doc.

You can also get a yeast infection and only be itchy on the outside. Happened to me with Kara and I couldn't believe that it was a yeast infection. Feel better soon.

I spoke to my doc and I bought Monistat 3...lets see if it works!
