How soon can you tell if DC is a righty or a lefty?

Because Christopher totally favors his left hand over his right. He reaches with his left and takes his pacifer in and out with it.

My mom and all of her cousins are lefties, not one of us in my generation are, but both of my little cousins are, so it would be cool if Christopher was too, but can you tell this early (under 1 year)?

I believe actually hand preference doesn't happen until 3 or 4 years old. I think they'll use both hands until that time...

I'm a Pre-K teacher & notice my kiddos use both hands (a lot of them)

yup in some kids not until they are 5-6 yrs of age, however, by 4-5 yrs if you see them using one hand more then another, you should encourage them using that hand and using the other hand as a stabilizer (i am an OT and work with preschoolers
