How much would you pay a friend to watch your child
1 day a week, close to 10 hours a day. We want to pay very fairly.
Exploring some babysitting options.
DD is 13.5 months, if that matters.

I pay my sitter (nieghbor) $40 a day, my baby is 8mnts old...

We would definitely want to pay. We would offer, but we'd insist on her taking it. She recently became a SAHM with 2 kids under 2, so they could definitely use the $. And it's a long day, just about 10 hours.

I would probably offer at least $60 a day and tell them that if they aren't happy with the money to say something. Its really hard when its a friend, but hopefully they will be honest.

Ok, knowing that. (2 kids SAHM) I would def make her take at least 50-60 ...tell her it would make you feel more comfortable too that she accept it.

I'm finding that $10/hr seems to be the going rate
eta: unless your hiring like a 13yr old...I pay them less, like $6 or $7/hr
