How much is a woman supposed to weigh?
according to height?
anyone know...
like, how much should someone 5'2" weigh, etc etc?

i'm 5'2" and accordinging to the chart i'm supposted to weight about 115, but i only weight about 98 pounds.

i'm 5'2" as well. my goal weight is like 98lbs too, (or lower if i can. i USED to be 92lbs when i started up with DH)
i weighed 103 for a good part of the past year, but i feel like i'm gainign weight lately.
i have to go weigh myself.
but i had no idea we are "supposed" to weigh 115?!?!
maybe b/c i have NO muscle mass whatsoever!
eta: ok, just weighed myself, god was that depressing! yeah, im totally going to be more strict now with myself and things i eat!

I found this website which gives you ranges. I always thought that the ranges just provided fatter and skinnier ends. Like your ideal skinny weight at a certain height would be the lower number etc. But, at my last physical, my doctor explained that the ranges are for different body frames. Some people have bigger frames so, therefore, the lower weight end of the range would not be ideal for them while some people have smaller frames so the higher end of the range would make them fat although it would not make someone else of their same height fat. Make sense?

oh good thanks! i'll look that up. Yeah i DID hear of teh body frame thing. i have a small frame, so i should be on the lower end.
oh thanks youre sweet, but its my tummy area and saddlebags/thighs that are my problem. you cant see those in pics.
i used to have a flat tummy, now its getting bigger. its like these past 2 months im eating WAY too much. (i eat when im bored, etc etc) I need to watch it. I looked so much better when i was 10 lbs lighter.
lol we were at our bar the other day and i was going to order something to eat and i was like
"no, i cant have that" and the bartender said "you dont have to worry" and DH was like "i know im gonna get slapped for this, but you only see her from the waist up!"   i was laughing though. it was pretty funny.

jess, jess, jess if you are 103 lbs don't worry about it. you are not overweight. i think that that chart is a little unrealistic, i can't see myself at 115 lbs, after i'm pregnant, but thats different.

i just want to flatten out my tummy and try to shed a few inches off my thighs....
BUT i wasnt sure how much we were "supposed" to weigh. Just curious about that.

I can't believe he said that! I would freak lol. I have the same problem. I got into the conversation with my doctor because I was insisting I needed to lose weight (because I weigh about 15lbs more than I did at my wedding!) and he was trying to convince me that my weight was normal...

good, its really just a guideline. we are both underweight according to the surgon general. but i don't care, its not like i'm trying to be too skinny - lindsey lohan is NOT my role model.

yeah it was ok, it was too funny not to laugh. its true anyway.
i HATE when ppl tell me "you're skinny".. its like "Beatch, do you see me naked?! Ok then, until that day that I scare you to death DONT tell me that!"
its not that i thin im FAT, alittle chubby maybe, but not fat, im just SOOOO out of shape. theres a difference.
yes yes, flat tummies here we come!
umm... perhaps i should go do some crunches?!
