How much does siding cost?
Our neighbors just had their siding redone, and it looks fantastic...and I have a bit of siding envy!
DH and I are going to stay here for only two to four more years (more than likely two), so I don't know that it would really be worth it. I'm curious to see what a ballpark figure is for it though because I honestly have no idea. You could tell me 2K or 20K, and I wouldn't be shocked.
Our neighbor's house is much larger than ours, so it wouldn't be comparable. Our house is about 1,000 square feet.
I do realize that a number of different materials could be used, so I guess I'm looking to see what both the low end and high end would be.

Based on your sq footage, I would say anywhere from 5000-7000 for a decent company and materials. My old house was almost double yours and I paid 13000 for a good company and materials.

we were quoted $13k-$16k for 1500sf ranch.

Our old house was about 1100 square feet and we got estimates from $7,000 to $22,000. Ended up going with one around $11,000, the cheapest ones were from sketchier companies and the one we used was a real company and a well-known brand of siding.
