how much do you pay a month for your house?
i'm just trying to get a ballpark...
DH and i own a co-op. we pay double what our mortgage actually is, because of "maintance fees" - which includes property tax, property insurance, gas, water and maintence. i'm just trying to see what we can afford for a house... we want to start looking seriously next fall. i know we have a while, but still - i always look online.
so, i'm curious. if you're willing to share... how much was your house, property taxes, and how much do you pay for a mortgage?
also, since i've never actually paid for water or gas, about how much do you pay a month?
any other bills to consider..
-mortgage
-insurance
-taxes
-gas
-electric
-water
-cable, phone etc
... that i am missing?
i understand the whole money thing may be too personal for some, but if it's not, i'd love to get an idea! TIA

I have no idea about bills. But our mortgage, insurance, taxes will be $2900 a month.

Your mortgage payment will also depend on the amount of your down payment. MLS has a good calculator that will help you.

too much !
mortgage,taxes,home insurance-about $3,000/month (taxes are about $525/month out of that)
insurance (cars) $265/month
cellphones $90/month
Optimum $140/month
gas- about $120/month
(this was only our first month with gas though,we had oil before and paid $245/month)
Electric-about $100/month
Water- we only get a bill every few months for about $30
then you have to think about food,gas for your cars, other miscellaneous things

My mortgage and taxes combined are $1,500 per month.....
electric -- not sure yet, haven't gotten my first bill....
water -- free (we have a well)
homeowners insurance is $476 per year...
Keep in mind our house is in NC....

We pay about 2,300 for the mortgage, insurance and taxes.
Cable (phone, TV and internet): 120.00
Gas ranges from 150 to 230 in the winter (this is what the pervious homeowner told us).
Electric ranges from 150 to 250 (this is what the pervious homeowner told us).
Water every 3 months 50.00
Sewer every 3 months 28.00
Solmins security every 3 months 86.00
