How many homes does National Grid need to run the gas line?
Does anyone know the answer to this? I called when we first moved in to inquire and I can't remember what they said. One of our neighbors wants to now get a bunch of people to agree to convert so the will run it down our block.
Someone said they only needed 3 but I thought it was 5.

Nope 3. My neighbors did it a few years ago.

And the 3 people don't need to switch to gas heat. It could be one house wanting cooking gas. It just has to be at the least a major appliance.

It also depends how far away the gas line is. Ours is too far to bring gas to our area, no matter how many people want it.
