How long has LIF been around? and...
who has been here from the VERY beginning?
I'd love to hear about how it became so popular 
Not sure what made me think of this, but I guess I'm just curious

The only reason I remember the exact date, is, it's my Birthday LOL
I have been here since Day 1.
I stumbled across LIW after my brother got engaged in 2004.
Feeling funny being already married and on LIW, I was sooooo happy LIF was "Born".

Its an offshoot of LIW. Most of us were brides/NWs on LIW when it launched.
It has changed quite a bit. The format is basically the same- but no vendors and the drama used to be better because people were a little less pc.

That's great. I had no idea LIF or LIW even excited. .
DD was 5 mos old when I found out about LIF from someone (she is 19 mos now) . When I first registered I barely used it . I used to just lurk on parenting and give opinion/advice or share my experiences.
I wish I had known about it. I went though pregnancy , birth and first few months of having a newborn without LIF lol.
I do remember having so many questions and googling everything I didn't know
Now I can just come here

I never saw LIW. I happened upon a link to LIF from an on-line newspaper in 10/05! I lurked for a long time then finally joined when they made the Relationship board for members only. 
I never lived in LI/NYC either!

I have been here since day 1. I was an LIW bride. You can tell who has been here the longest by the month/year member since.

I've been here since it first started on 5/05, I was so happy when LIF was born. Because i was already married and i felt i didn't belong on a wedding board anymore ,Than i moved over here.

Wow, a thread with some of the original LIWers!! I was at LIW from the beginnings too! Well, not the start, but when it was a single page chat forum! I wonder if Claud knows she has naming royalties!!

Same here too. I started with LIW in 03 when I was pregnant with my first child and then moved over here.

I had found out about LIW from DH's cousins...actually he found out about it and set up the account for me and never came back! I was on LIW since 2002 and then moved over here.
