for the first time since we got married, we actually got back- but just a little.
We wound up getting back $900 from the feds. but we have to pay $225 to NY and $125 to NJ (it ***** working in one state & living in another)
either way- last year we had to pay 2k- so I am happy w. what we got this year.

Our accountant emailed me last night and I think we are getting back a LOT. We had a very complicated tax year so we hired an accountant, who is now worth his weight in gold. I am soooo happy.

We get a pretty large sum back but that is because of the house and we both have a lot in unreimbursed work expenses.

Honestly - I don't know. My DH is a salesman and said that we needed to find someone that knows how to do salesman taxes, cause they have alot of write offs. Our regular accountant is not familiar with all of the write offs

My DH is in sales too- I have an acct out on the east end of LI if you are interested.
As I said, we went from owing 2k last year to getting back $900 this year.

I am waiting my my Hubby- he in in sales also and we have an accountant who does them for us- some how he never has to pay- but he gets some 1099- NYS deals and out of state deals- are w2
