We spent the weekend in Manhattan.. saw a show, saw the sights, stayed in a really fancy hotel/suite... it was really nice to 'escape' to somewhere that was still so closeby 
Pretty much the same here. We spent the night at the Algonquin--which is where we got engaged. We saw the Glass Menagerie. I was pregnant, so we didn't get too crazy!

We took a 3 day trip to Atlantis (which was a gift) and then we saw Wicked and had a nice dinner.

This is what we did, only because we received complimentary nights from the resort we had stayed at due to being driven out by hurricane emily.

We went to Japan for 11 days. We didn't do it the exact anniversary, but went a month before b/c of the weather would be too hot if we went on our anniversary. On the actual night we went to our favourite Indian restaurant.

we got tickets to see Shrek: the Musical on Sat 11/22 @ 8pm (we were married 11/23), and I'm hoping to find a reasonably priced hotel for that night...
but we're going on a cruise to Key West, Cozumel, and Belize next month - we'll be away for our 8-monthiversary . It just worked out better this way with our work schedules.

We went to Vegas! That night we went to MIX on top of Mandalay Bay and then to see the Cirque show, "O". It was a great anniversary!

We went to Caesar's Pocono Resorts at Cove Haven. It was a little like sleep away camp for adults in the winter but we made it fun for us. We just wanted to be alone and together.

We went to Paris, which was originally supposed to be the 2nd leg of our honeymoon but we had to change it due to the riots that broke out there 3 days before our wedding.

Um, we slept and cleaned! Our DD was born 2.5 weeks before our 1st anniversary, so we dropped her off at my parents house for an overnight visit and we got some much needed sleep and cleaned our very messy house! Couldn't have spent it any other way

DH took me back to EastWind where we got married and surprised me with brunch and a full spa day there.
We went for a nice dinner that night as well.
We bought a house in Oct so we were holding off going away, but we are booked for Aruba this Oct for a late Anniv get away.

We're going back to Mexico- we went to Excellence Riviera Cancun for our HM, so now we're going to a different resort in Playa del Carmen. Leaving on Sunday!
If we didn't plan this trip, we probably woulda got a hotel in the city or something. That's always fun! Go see a show or something- or at least have a nice dinner!

We spent the day packing to move, with a brief break for dinner. We had closed on our house on LI two days before, had high-tailed it back to Boston to finish the packing because the movers were coming the day after our anniversary to pick everything up. We had made reservations at a restaurant in the North End that a friend had recommended so we took a break for a nice anniversary dinner, and were surprised when the owner came by to tell us our friend had arranged to pick up our dinner tab! Then it was back to the house to complete the packing, truck arriving the next day and off to LI.

My DH surprised me with a 4 night stay in the Bahamas and had my wedding bouquet recreated into a beautiful arraignment!

We worked during the day and went to my parents for dinner.
My mother had my family, my inlaws, and my aunt (my godmother) and uncle all over for dessert. She made it very special
A few nights after we went to dinner at the Watermill (where we got Married).
So sad the restaurant part is not there anymore.

I think we just went out to dinner at out favorite restaurant and then came home, watched our video, and ate the top of our cake.
Is it terrible that I don't really remember?  But that sounds right... (that was only four years ago! I should remember! )

we stayed at a REALLY nice hotel in NYC and got a suite and had a wonderful meal and saw Jersey Boys. It was a TERRIFIC anniversary!!!!
