How close are your kids of they are 4 or more years apart?

My dream to be TTC soon may have to be put on hold for financial, daycare and job reasons. I am almost 35 and really thought that a 3 year difference between children would have been ideal.

Are your kids close if they are 4 or more years apart? I am saddened by the thought that they wouldn't be in high school at the same time or would have different friends. My sister and I are 3 years and we are close. I am hoping if God does bless us with a baby (whenever) that they would be close no matter what the age difference!

Why does life throw a curve ball..my company just got sold and I may not have a job! Daycare costs so much $$!!
Why did the housing market crap out and why did I buy at the top of the market??????????Chat Icon Chat Icon

I will be honest - My sister and I are 4.5 yrs apart - we were never close in age. We are getting closer now that we are grown (I am 29, she is 25) but still...not very close.

Now...that being said...I really think its just a matter of who the kids are. I have friends that are 4 yrs apart with their siblings and grew up the best of friends. My sister and I just have very different personalities and that has a lot to do with it.

my kids are 3 and a half and 4 years apart each.. they get along great.. they are all like best friends.. and i love the age difference.. for me it was great never having to feel guilty about taking time away from any of my "babies"..

my sister and i are 5 years apart and VERY close.

My boys are 4 and a half years apart and although one is 5 and a half and the other is turning 1 tomorrow (Chat Icon ), they absolutely LOVE each other. It makes me melt when they interact with each other. I know that their relationship maybe like a rollercoaster in the future and I would have liked them to be closer in age...things happen for a reason.
