i saw the description in newsday its being sold by owner but is not listed on the for sale by owner website. i checked newsday's website and its not on there but was in sundays newspaper.

You have to pay extra to take an add out on both the Newsday site and the paper. they may have felt they would get less traffic on line.
For Sale By Owner costs about $80 a month to list.
