Help: Mice in the pool.....
Okay this is completely disgusting but we keep finding dead mice in our pool! I dont know what to do - I guess we will call an exterminator and see what they say - but does anyone else have this problem? I had an IGP growing up and i dont remember EVER having dead mice in the pool. We found three this weekend and there was another in there today. Has any one else experienced this????

I'm pretty sure that mice can swim. Do they look intact or did something maybe attack them?
ETA: Maybe with all this rain there is area that is filling up with water, trapping and drowning them? Is there an area around your pool like that where maybe they could be washed into the pool?

I had an IGP growing up and we would have a mouse or 3 in there each season...I always attributed it to having cats 
But I wonder if, in your case, it's b/c of the lack of rain we've been having. Perhaps they were looking for water?

Our area is pretty wooded..... They look intact but i dont really get too close to them. they are all floating. Its so gross I am getting the hee-bee geebies even typing this....

I think it's pretty common. My sister calls them "floaters" . She had two in her IGP this weekend.

my aunt and uncle have this happen to them - their house has an IGP and backs up to a wooded piece of land so every now and then they find one.....my uncle usually scoops it up with the net and hurls it back over the fence if it's still alive

i find them every now and again when cleaning the skimmers. TOTALLY grosses me out. when there is a a lot of debris, i use a garden shovel to poke around a bit before sticking my hand it for the basket.

You aren't there have been about 4 or 5 in our pool all summer. I don't know what it is but yesterday we found a little frog swimming around. It is gross but it could be a cat or they are just so dumb that they run right into the pool.

My parents have an IGP and this summer they've pulled quite a few mice and even a few moles and frogs out.
