HELP- Medicine question

I've been trying to call my OB but I get a woman at the messaging service who has no clue what she's doing and gave me a bogus number referring me to the on-call dr.

I have a bad congestive (phlegm) cough- online I found Robitussing DM is ok for pregnant women to take....did anyone else get the same info from their dr???

I'm getting madder each time I call now and get a busy signal- what if there was a real emergency?!?!

I know one of the robutisums are okay but not the one with the stuff that makes you sleepy.. I wouldnt take anything until you consult your doctor.

Re: HELP- Medicine question

my Dr gave me the ok for robitussin but has to be just plain robitussin DM...no antihistemines..and nothing for sinus congestion...theres something in that one.....it didn't get rid of my cough or earache but it definately took pressure off chest fro plegm.....hope you feel better...i konw how frustrating it is dealing with answering services..they are aliens!!!

Re: HELP- Medicine question

Finally got through to the nurse line and she said Robitussin DM and Triaminic were ok...nothing with an ingredient called PPT in it.

I'm going to try steaming first to loosen it all up. My nose is less stuffy and runny today so I'm hoping its almost gone. DH doesnt want me taking too many more meds but I'm trying my hardest to deal without them.
