i think the princess ports sound better
i went to cozumel and didnt care for it compared to the other places that princess offers

I'm a huge Princess fan, but to be fair, I've never been on RC.
In this case the Princess ports look better to me and for you mother, I think of Princess as being more "mature" than RC.
I just remember lots of my spring break college friends doing the RC thing.

The ports for RC appeal to me more, but if you've been to some of them maybe you should do the Princess one. Have you checked out cruisecritic.com? I got a lot of useful, and not so useful, info from there.

I have to say that I would always choose a RC line. They are the best in my opinion.
ETA - I have never been on a princess - but have been on RC, Carnival, and Norweigen. They have been the best out of those three.
