Heartbeat...? Hematoma...?

So I've been REALLY sick with "morning sickness" (which seems to last all day and night) for the past week. It gets worse as the week goes on and then finally I got too hot and dizzy I made DH take me to the ER. I also had a sharp pain to the right of my belly button.

Well while I was there they did an US (I'm 6 weeks) and we got to see the baby for the first time. The heartbeat was 112 per minute and I was measuring 6 weeks and 3 days. Is the heartbeat sound right to you girls?

Also they found a hematoma. I'm terrified that something is going to happen to our baby. Has anyone has this and it goes away on it's on and everything with the pregnancy is fine after that. I'm supposed to follow up with my dr since my nausea is still so bad and I haven't had a regular BM in about 2 weeks but Women 4 Women's phones are down. I keep leaving messages for the doctor and they just haven't called me back. Spending the gas to go there makes me furious that they just can't call me back!!!!

Any help I would appreciate it! Thanks girls!

Heartbeat...? Hematoma...?

Anything over 100 is good that early...I had a hematoma at 6 weeks 5 days and it has basically resolved where they cannot see it but I do have brown discharge since then...I am 10 weeks 5 days and so far no other issues and the baby was right on track at my last appt. Just take it easy...no sex or heavy lifting and try to drink water and stay off your feet.

@mama2b thank you very much!!!! I really appreciate you getting back to me. I read online that it will either absorb into your body or you will get a bleed. I just called my doctor's office and they told me that unless it's an emergency they were told not to put messages through. I'm livid and told them I was in the ER so this is an emergency. This is CRAZY!!!!

Heartbeat...? Hematoma...?

I had a clot and lots of red bleeding but no cramping which was a good sign...I would take it easy until you can get to your dr.

Re: Heartbeat...? Hematoma...?

At 6wks, the heart just recently started beating so it's to be expected for it to be on the slower end but it's good that it's over 100. By the next appt it needs to be stronger. A subchorionic hematoma is USUALLY harmless. For me, it wasn't. Stay off your feet as much as you can until the bleeding stops, don't lift anything over 10lbs, and no sex.

Re: Heartbeat...? Hematoma...?

I had a sub-chorionic hematoma as well and I wish it had been spotted before I started bleeding so it did not terrify me. For some women it just gets reabsorbed, and I hope that's the case for you. For others (like me) it comes out and like another poster said there can be red blood but no cramps is a good sign.

Thank you girls! The doctor finally got back to me. She said because my sub-chorinoic hematoma is small then I can resume normal activity. She said if I start bleeding then to call and come in. They only found it because I was hurting from the constipation and did the sono to make sure all was ok.

She increased my zofran and hopefully this works because I'm nauseous unless I am eating. I'm just happy I'm pregnant so I'm trying not to complain that much but I just feel like crap!
