Have you ever had Red Velvet Cake??
OMG, it is sooooooooo good! we got a red velvet cake for one of the ladies at work that retired the other day. she was telling us how she loves red velvet cake and has not had it since she lived down south. it was pretty expensive though, $30 for a small one. this has to be the best cake i ever had

Mine was supposed to be red velvet with fresh berries and Napolean cream... but they screwed up and gave me vanilla cake. 
I really like red velvet cake. It's the perfect amount of chocolate for me.

Yes! The cake at The Wedding of the Year was from Audrey's and was Red Velvet with cream cheese frosting...omg soo good! Also had an amazing red velvet cupcake from a bakery in Brooklyn.

it sounds super tasty but I'm afraid of red velvet... they literally use an entire bottle of food coloring in one cake. food coloring is considered to be non-toxic partly becuase you're supposed to only use a couple drops.... at those doses, it doesn't sound too good for us 
I wish they would make a velvet cake that is not red....

I love it, but I have to say I am a snob about where I get it.  I totally cannot eat the entenmans one or anything like that. The first time I had it my old college advisor had his wife make some for us & I got spoiled. After that I went to a carribean bakery & they made it the same way she did (they are from the islands).
I actually have to find a new bakery that makes good Red Velvet cake.

I make this recipe all the time , Red Velvet
Made them few years ago for xmas, & DH loves it , was hi b day on sat & made the red velvet cake in the big cupcake pan , omg ,, to die for
