Harry Potter question... (I don't think this is spoilers - but you may not want to come in...)
What ever happened to James Potter's family? Was that ever explained in any of the books? I know he was pure blood - but he had no living relatives?
I was just confused that Rowling never seemed to address this...

Now this is only guessing, but I assume his family is dead.
In one of the books we are told that James' family took in Sirius as their "second son". So that would make James an only child. Obviously he was killed.

I was supset that we enver found out about the Potters, and we never foudn out what Harry's aprents did and where they got all of their money.
