Happy yet scared...prayers needed (a little long)
Hi,
I posted 2 months back about having a very early m/c.
Well, about 2 and a half weeks ago I found out (a few days early) I was PG. I was thrilled, but 5 days later I started spotting. Went to my OB who confirmed the pregnancy via urine and blood work. Just to give you an idea of the difference between this time and the last pregnancy, my HcG leves were 835 at 4 weeks and then went to 1839 a day or 2 later. The last pregnancy (which resulted in m/c) my Hcg levels were only at 28 and then went down to 15, and soon after that came a/f.
My progesterone levels at 4 weeks were at 20, which I read was good.
I just went for my first ultrasound this morning. I am 6 weeks, 3 days if I ovulated when I think I did. We did see the beginning stages of a baby but no heartbeat yet. I also started staining a bit again (sorry for TMI but brown in color which is I guess better). My OB told me that even a few days makes a difference in seeing the heartbeat. I go back for a follow up ultrasound on 11/17. I also took more bloodwork which I won't get back until Wednesday.
I am just so scared. I just want this to be a healthy pregnancy. Waiting until 11/17 for my next u/s seems like eons away. I just need some prayers sent my way.
I also have an amazing DS and he means the world to me. I did spot a bit when I was PG with him but it quickly diminished. I spotted this time for a few days but it went away and then came back yesterday. Am I just putting unnecessary stress on myself?

this post should really be on pregnancy...you will get a LOT of answers and others that have been through the same thing there....
almost once every two weeks or so, someone posts that they didn't see what they thought they would and everyone replies that it's just too soon....and it almost always is...
ME INCLUDED..i had the same scare. Based on the dates I HAD for me - i was earlier than assumed..and i had a horrible 3 day wait. Sunday - they didn't see a heartbeat and the doc said to come back Wednesday. Those 3 days were HORRIBLE, however, Wednesday, saw & HEARD the heartbeat...all was well - but i was 4 days behind where they thought i'd be...

If the spotting occurred after your ultrasound that could be why..........I know 11/17 seems like an eternity, but it will be here before you know it.

Just to add on to Jess's post, I'm included in this too. I had my first u/s at 6 weeks and they didnt see anything. They also checked my HCG levels which were not doubling the way they were supposed to, not even close actually. They pretty much told me in so many words that I was going to have a miscarriage. I went a week later for another u/s and saw my little peanut and heard the heartbeat. The heartbeat was strong and everything looked completely normal. A few days really does make a huge difference! Try not to worry unless you have some significant bleeding along with some pretty severe cramping. It was probably just too soon to see/hear anything. Try and hang in there, stay as positive as you can, and know that we're all here for you!!

Thanks everyone for your prayers. It means a lot. I'm going to call my OB's office tomorrow and see if I can get an appointment for earlier than 14 days. That's a long time to wait! I'm trying not to think about it too much but it is on my mind. I just have to keep hoping for a healthy pregnancy .
