Godparents - is there a min. age?
We want to have DH's brothers as the godfathers, but the one is only 15. His mom mentioned you might have to be 16. Does anyone know?

It may vary at each church...but when I was only 13 I was godmother for my cousin.

I think it is as long as the person has had their confirmation. Usually that is in 7th grade...so 12 or 13?

My first godchild, I was 12. did not have confirmation yet, the church required 1 person to be confirmed.

I was my niece's godmother when I was 14. However, I must warn you - because I was so young I was a terrible godmother. Forgot to buy gifts etc. (as a teenager and college student you can be pretty self absorbed )
