Sometimes I wonder and I also wonder if everyone is happy. I've known a lot of people in my personal life who have stayed married in spite of finding out that they are not compatible. I am an 05 bride and I heard there were some divorces but I am not sure who.

Not surprised. I was on there as an '04 bride (I never got married) and when I posted about canceling the wedding, I got a ton of FM about brides wanting to do the same thing but because the wedding was booked, they didn't.
IMO there are so many people who are so infatuated with having the perfect wedding that they don't even think about the marriage or they ignore signs that it won't work out.

I know this isn't exactly related to LIW, but I know that a bunch of girls i went to HS/college with who were married around the same time as me (05) are divorced..I would say over 50% of them...and most had a child or two already.
And there are just as many who are married but unhappily...i guess they are afraid to divorce, but its so sad to me. Why stay together when you're miserable??
I wish anyone who has gone through a divorce nothing but the best and that they find happiness with someone else if they haven't already!

I TOTALLY agree with you. It's not the reason behind every divorce, but some people are so crazy about having the best wedding, they don't think enough about life past that ONE DAY.

There have been some divorces that I know of from here, but wonder about some girls who I don't think ever came over to LIF. Happily - it's seems that the few divorces that I know, the girls have moved on to find new loves!
I agree about the '06ers, but unfortunately I can think of at least 5 girls who are divorced.
I agree; fellow 06'er & I know of a bunch that are divorced. I miss those LIW days at times.
Here too, unfortunately, or should I say fortunately  While divorce can be devistating, I know of a few particular people that went through a divorce that has never been happier now that they live a new life.

I was an '04 bride. The friends that I made at that time are all still married, but I do know of a few who also got married that year that are divorced but only because they posted about it.
With the divorce rate as high as it is, it's inevitable.

Honestly, i didn't post thaaat much on it back then and really used it more for information than for chatting with people. So i really can't remember most of the people that were on then.
considering the % of divorce is fairly high IRL, i would imagine its the same online
still happily married there though!

i am a '11 bride and iw ould hope that since some of us have not even hit our 1 year anniversary's yet, that there would be no divorces.
although i do miss how close we all were on those boards. while everyone is friendly here, there are so many more boards to choose from and some of us get lost in the shuffle.

I was an '07 bride- I know that some of the other's have divorced, but I couldn't tell you who they are. I know I've seen posts and thought "Oh, she's divorced now? I remember her from LIW"

I was thinking of that too! 2010 bride here (ourwedding9510 - Linda) and still happily married. I haven't heard of any but I stopped posting on liweddings when I got really sick with my health and deleted my FB account because of my MIL, so I lost touch with everyone  !!!!For those who are divorced, I hope you find the happiness you truly deserve! And no matter what, you'll always be a 2010 bride!

I am also an '04 bride & I think I lost track of people too. Even people I remember from LIW, I don't rember if they were 03, 04, 05 or 06.
The only 04 divorce I remember was someone that got seprated immediately after--I think I wasn't even married yet, since I got married late in the year.
IRL-just 1 of my friends is divorced-married in 01--seperated in 08.
