Girl Meets World 1st episode!
Did anyone see the 1st episode? I heard about after the fact and last night watched it on demand. I don't want to give anything away so I'll wait until someone else posts something before I give my 2 cents.

I saw it. It was so lame. I heard the cast is tweeting to give it a chance past the first episode. I will watch another.

I started to watch it with DD but turned it off bc she's too young for it. Who is it geared towards? Those girls looked way too young to be wearing make up and chasing boys and riding the subway .... maybe I am an old fart lol
ETA: I feel this way about many shows on Disney... more mature content for a younger audience. I mean when we were kids we watched Saved By The Bell, Boys Meets World etc... but we were a older.... I think? I didn't watch that stuff as a second or third grader.

i thought it was cute! people that grew up watching boy meets world think its cheesy because they arent TWELVE YEARS OLD ANYMORE! lol i will continue watching if it remains 'on demand'
how many freakin pillows does Topanga have at their apt?!!!!!!!!! jesus christ!

I felt like it was quite different from BMW, and it made me feel nostalgic for the good ole days.
I will probably keep watching it though because I am a sucker for nostalgia. As for the episode itself? Yes, I thought some of the content was rather mature for the target audience (I mean DJ Tanner was definitely not acting like this at 12), but that seems to be par for the course these days.

OMG!!! I know, I thought I was the only one who saw that.... what the heck, he was so adorable, I never thought he had a bad nose!
And as for the content, yeah, I'll probably watch another episode or two.

this was my thought ... I was thinking is this cheesy but then I am thinking its written like all the other Disney shows which is geared for young kids not adults.
I also figured it might get better after the first few episodes.

I didn't see the show but just looked up his new nose online. WHY DID HE DO THAT? He was perfectly normal/adorable the way he was before? His nose looks almost cartoonish now.

Yes, I couldn't even pay attention to the show because his new nose was so distracting! There was nothing wrong with his old nose. Something about Topanga looks different too. But, she looks even better now than she did back then and when I saw her on some show a year ago.
As for the show, something was off about it. I guess I was expecting it to be more like Boy Meets World. Instead, it is exactly like all the other pre-teeny bopper shows currently on Disney and Nickelodeon, just different actors. The show only did so well on the ratings because of the parents who were tuning in for the nostalgia.

I felt like they were trying to re-create the characters from the original. Reily's best fried was Shawn. The nerdy kid was Minkis. It was strange.
I too started longing for the ol' day.

I watched it.
It was cute in its own way but so corny & unrealistic!
The subway station doesn't look anything like that & it was funny how there was a sign for "metro tickets" instead of metrocards.
There were like 10 kids total in the class... in NYC??? yeah right.
