Gift Ideas for Family in Italy?
We are visiting DH's family in Italy next month, only for three days, but we want to bring something for the kids. They came to our wedding last year and were very nice. The kids are:
Boy - Age 10-11
Girl - Age 7
Any ideas? I saw a small American Girl doll at Fortunoff for the girl OR I was thinking of getting them both Yankees shirts or something like that. Whatever it is needs to be easily packed in a suitcase with little room already:)!

denim jackets...or jeans for them if you can get a good guess on thier size. there's something with denim, i think it's really expensive there, or they don't have to same options, something...anyway, I know that my friend is always sending denim to family in italy....

When we go to Italy to visit our family we give the kids candy (they love American candy), the yankee shirts are a great idea also.

The idea of things like Levi's being expensive in Europe is a myth, so I think Denim isn't the best idea. I say go for something like Soccer Shirts from US teams (LA Galaxy perhaps...) or the local teams. Baseball gear isn't seen that much in Europe. I would stick with anything US Soccer related.

I agree with Rach. I usually just buy regular clothes for my friends' kids when I go home. They love anything from the States and the Childrens Place has great deals. My case is already half full with kids back to school clothes for my visit next week.

Levi's is not so much an expensive item as it is an "All-American" item, which some Europeans like. So Levi's, Yankees' gear, US Soccer gear are all good suggestions (even though US Soccer blows, but that's IMO).

My cousins used to ask me to leave them my Levis when I went home.
Depending on the kids, maybe a handbag for the girl, a game thingie for the boy. YEs they LOVE american gum and candy. Fun jewelry for the girl. Baseball hat/jersey for the boy.
