Getting out of the house!
Hi ladies!
Matty is six weeks old and I've just started to try and get out of the house everyday.
I've been feeling saddish and overwhelmed but it seems to have helped to get out.
So far we went to borders and a diner.
Any ideas of where else to go with a new baby in a carriage?

Has he had his shots yet? You're in East Northport, right? There's the Parent Center (haven't been there yet). Also I've been to a mother's group at the Dolan Center once.

It feels great to finally get out, right?
When dd was that age I would go to starbucks with her and sit with a cup of coffee for awhile with her in her stroller (and I brought a book in case she was sleeping)
The library is good, too.

My friend and I go to the mall with the babies. We just walk around and stop at the food court when its time for us all to eat. Sometimes we spend over an hour in the food court feeding ourselves and the babies. Its just nice to get out of the house. Tip: change the baby in the bathroom of a nice dept. store like bloomingdales rather than the mall bathrooms - they're much nicer and clean.

Glad you're feeling better getting out of the house! Winter babies ARE hard, but in the summer they are such a cute and fun age!

The weather is going to warm up again next week 0 bundle the baby up and go for a walk in town down by the water. That helped me so much and my ped said fresh air was great for the baby. I would ask anyone around to go to the park with me LOL I was down there almost every day weather permitting.
