Furniture and Wall Decor

This is probably a very tedious question but do you think I can do black frames on the wall (B&W pics) with oak wood furniture in the DR? Or should I stick with Oak frames?

I wanted to do red/burgundy walls but I'm "paint shy". Do you think it would work?

I personally love red/burgandy on the walls, but I'm afraid it may make our room look small so my DH is going to do a chairrail in our dining room and put red on the bottom and tan on the top.

Hmmm interesting...How do I do a chairrail? Can the painter do that?

absolutely, its simply a wood piece placed in the center (lower center) of the wall. We are probably going to do a white one even though our furniture is light oak because all the trim is white. My DH wanted a oak chairrail, but I think it will be too much. Plus all of our accessories are silver and wrod iron

Black frames are so nice w/black and white pics. I say go for it!
