Ok so you have to carry around papers to prove you are? Show everyone you meet? Who knows if you were or were not?

If you read closely - they still say small gatherings - so it's basically you can get together with a couple of people that you knew were vaccinated... Which i know a lot of people are doing anyway.

They recommend, not mandatory:

The CDC is continuing to recommend that fully vaccinated people continue to wear well-fitted masks, avoid large gatherings, and physically distance themselves from others when out in public. The CDC also advised vaccinated people to get tested if they develop symptoms that could be related to COVID-19.

Still doesn’t answer my question how this can be done without dealing with Hippa.

Fully vaccinated people can gather without masks, CDC says

My assumption is you wouldn't be gathering in someone's home in a small group with a bunch of strangers. I have friends and family members that are fully vaccinated and we will start seeing each other in small groups unmasked. They told me they got vaccinated. If one of my friends didn't want to tell me if they got the vaccine or not, I would treat them as they hadn't been and still only see them outdoors with a mask.

Re: Fully vaccinated people can gather without masks, CDC says

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated-guidance.html

Key Points
This is the first set of public health recommendations for fully vaccinated people. This guidance will be updated and expanded based on the level of community spread of SARS-CoV-2, the proportion of the population that is fully vaccinated, and the rapidly evolving science on COVID-19 vaccines.

For the purposes of this guidance, people are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 =2 weeks after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna), or =2 weeks after they have received a single-dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson [J&J]/Janssen ).†

The following recommendations apply to non-healthcare settings.

Fully vaccinated people can:

Visit with other fully vaccinated people indoors without wearing masks or physical distancing
Visit with unvaccinated people from a single household who are at low risk for severe COVID-19 disease indoors without wearing masks or physical distancing
Refrain from quarantine and testing following a known exposure if asymptomatic
For now, fully vaccinated people should continue to:

Take precautions in public like wearing a well-fitted mask and physical distancing
Wear masks, practice physical distancing, and adhere to other prevention measures when visiting with unvaccinated people who are at increased risk for severe COVID-19 disease or who have an unvaccinated household member who is at increased risk for severe COVID-19 disease
Wear masks, maintain physical distance, and practice other prevention measures when visiting with unvaccinated people from multiple households
Avoid medium- and large-sized in-person gatherings
Get tested if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms
Follow guidance issued by individual employers
Follow CDC and health department travel requirements and recommendations
...

It's basically saying that if you're vaccinated, you can hang out at a friend's house without a mask. HIPPA does not apply to friends. They could never enforce this before, anyway, so now they are saying that the CDC says you can do it.
If you're in larger groups, you still have to wear a mask.

These are guidelines and recommendations, so if people decide not to follow the CDC guidelines, they won't get arrested.

Wow really? Do they have to tell you who they voted for too and maybe hoe much they weigh?

Sorry but no one needs to tell you something private like that and if you are at the point you are still afraid to see people, then stay home.

This.

Everyone in my family with the exception of my brother and SIL will be fully vaccinated by April 2nd. I plan on seeing my family in April and will be staying with my sister. I will not be wearing a mask when at my sister's house, but I will be wearing a mask if I want to see my brother. We are going to see my ILs for Easter when everyone will be vaccinated except my son.

If I do not know someone's vaccination status, I will not see them without a mask.

I am still not even close to being eligible for a vaccine nor is my husband. I am amazed that whole extended families are already almost fully vaccinated. Is everyone essential workers/teachers etc? Or does everyone in the world have comorbidities? I feel like nobody I know is vaccinated other than my parents because they are over 75.

If my friends either won't tell me if they got the vaccine or don't care enough about me to wear a mask when I see them, they really aren't a good friend so I guess I won't be seeing them.

Everyone in my family is essential: teacher, nurse, police, grocery, over 65.

Um, they can wear a mask when they see me until that is deemed no longer necessary.

My hubby and youngest are eligible for work and comorbidity. Myself and my oldest are not eligible at all I would think as we don’t fall into any categories.

There are also some ways around it (not saying anyone on this board did that) But my SIL has a chronic condition but it's not anything that is listed as a co-morbidity for Covid. It would be like me saying- well I have kidney stones, or I suffer from migraines- something like that- and she somehow had someone pull some strings so she could get it sooner based on that.

If not for everything, def for certain things like from going to a concert, to flying. It seems that this is already happening in countries like Israel. Gotcha it sounded like you were saying they still could be if they didn’t follow the recommendations and guidelines. Kind of like how Suffolk County police said they would not arrest anyone with more than 10 at a party.
