Fourth Grade teachers...tell me all I need to know
 I am teaching 4th next year...Taught third this year so I am already in test prep mode. What else do I need to know???

That after Christmas the sweetness wears off, especially w/ the boys...they get mouthy.
More "research" type of reports
That a lot of them STILL don't know their times tables.
That division is a big part of 4th grade.
Definitely go over paragraphs at the beginning of the year, you'd think they'd know how to do this by now, but a lot didn't

My high schoolers break out their calculators!!! They are shocked that I can do it in my head faster, and I'm not even a math teacher!

Almost EXACTLYT what I was gonna say!!!
I taught 4th for 2 years and now I'm being moved to third...we can share tips when I get back from vacation! FM me so I dont forget LOL

Fourth grade is fun! I told another teacher who was moving up that is was lots of work, all business etc. At the end of the year she laughed bc she said it was lots of fun (and some really good field trips!!)
I love the S.S. for 4th.
Math is big, and it's true about the multiplication and division.
Writing still needs a lot of craft mini lessons.
