For those that moved out of state and license plates question
I just registered my car this weekend and have to turn in my NY plates. Do you think I can go to any DMV in NY or does it have to be the location where I registered the car? I did try to call and it wont connect my call for some reason (I do have long distance but the number is an 800 #).

you can go to any DMV in NY- I turned my dad's plates into westchester
and his car was registered in suffolk
it's a state thing, not a town thing

Adrianna, I think I sent mine in the mail when we moved to NJ. You can probably find the address to surrender plates on the DMV website.
