First Sippy Cup .. Which one do i get!
Looking to buy sippy cups and start to intoduce it to DD who will be 6 months and have no idea what to get.
Which ones should i use the ones with the straws? the ones with out?
Whats the "best" brand?
Also if you started with one k ind (straw or no straw) did you switch at some point? Is one better than the other?

I introduced a sippy at 9 months and my DD took to the soft spout Nuby easily. She still dislikes the hard ones. We are just now buying her straw sippy's by Munchkin and she LOVES them. She's a bit late at 18months, but I haven't really pushed the straw issue much.

I bought a couple different ones--my older DS used the soft spout nuby and born free and switched to munchkin straw cups around 12 months. My younger DS used the tommee tippee trainer cups for a few weeks and then has been using munchkin straw cups exclusively since about 8 months. I found it was trial and error to see what ones they liked. HTH!

I tried lots of sippy cups with DS but his fav is this Playtex one with the straw. They sell them in Target and are very easy to wash.  Image Attachment(s):

My Ds did well with the soft spout Nuby cups as well.
He had a more difficult time mastering the straw.

I got her a munckin one from target- it's a starter cup- for 4 months and up
- it had like a soft spout

DD uses the Munchin sippy for her milk and the Munchkin straw sippy for her juice.

This.
My DS loves these cups. The downfall is when the liquid starts to get warm if out for more than a few minutes it starts to creep up the straw which has no valve in it (thats why its on the easier side to clean! IMO). DS hates all of the straw cups with valves. And I also find that these are better b/c of the handles. DS loves to roll the cups w/o handles on them under the couch....

ITA! We introduced it at 9 months and DD just played with it. So, I took it away and reintroduced it at 10-10.5 months and she was drinking out it within a day
