First lady cookie poll
So every election year Family Circle does a poll to see which possible first lady has the favorite cookie recipe.
This year's recipes are Michelle Obama's shortbread (with orange and amaretto) and Cindy McCain's Butterscotch Oatmeal Cookies.
Which one would you most like? Any particular reason? Does it influence your vote?
I havent made them but just think its one of the more fun aspects of trying to predict the election results instead of all the negativity.

The butterscotch oatmeal..just sounds more my thing...I am not crazy about the orange / amaretto combo...

Somehow Cindy McCain doesn't strike me as much of a baker. . .
I guess I'd go with the Obama shortbread, because I don't like oatmeal cookies.

I think I want to try to make both and relaly try them before deciding but based on recipe alone, Id go for shortbread.
I love oatmeal but not with butterscotch- too much imo.

Oh and just to add....when I was searching these out, I found that its NOT condy McCain recipe but one of her friends she "borrowed"
Don't know if that changes anyone opinion or not.
