Fios - Q about the 19" tv and gift card(s)

We're having Fios installed in a week, and they're giving us a free 19" HDTV. I was just wondering if they come with the tv and hook it up or if you get it later. And how crummy it is.

And does anyone know when you get the gift card? A couple of weeks after the install?

It comes later. We had it installed about a month ago and we got a letter yesterday confirming we picked the tv, even though we wanted the Best Buy gift cards.

Haven't gotten the other gift card yet either.

By the way, we had a coupon for Best Buy and they came in higher on all of the (8) items we intended to buy from them. So you may be better off with the tv.

We never got our $100 Amex gift card and we called weekly about it ... eventually, they just put a $100 credit on our bill.

I saw the TV in person the other day... It's soooooooo small but would work just fine in a kitchen setting...

We didn't get our tv yet, but we plan on putting it in the kitchen. I guess we have to have Fios for a while right?

We only have 1 tv now so it's actually a good thing for us. I'm going to put it on my computer desk so when DH is watching is football, I can be doing something else.

And when American Idol season starts again, I can watch and post on LIF at the same time.

ETA: I'll give them a couple of weeks but then I'll be on the phone with them daily b*tching my head off to get what they promised.

Keep on top of them if you don't get the gift card. Check the promo to see if it states when you will get it. With most verizon promos, you get it within 8-10 weeks.

I am still out on leave from verizon, but I can't tell you how many calls I would get about customers not getting gift cards or promos that they should have gotten within 6-8 weeks.

I talked to the tech and he said 2 weeks after it is installed you will get the paperwork to fill out. Then 2-4 weeks later it will be delivered. HTH

Is the promotion a TV and a Gift card? Can anyone tell me what the promotion is exactly? Thanks! We should be closing soon and want to get fios.
