Finally ready to post my birth story(Now with pics)
Ok, so it's been 3 weeks already since I had Justin. The trauma is starting to fade & he is sleeping more in between feeding so here it is:
On Thurs, Sept 6th I was having mild cramping all morning. It took me a few hours to figure out that I was having contractions but by the afternoon they were about 10-20 min apart. I told Dh not to go to work that night but he was in denial & went to work around 6:30pm so I decided to go to the dr to find out what was going on. They monitored me for 30 min & I was 3 cm dilated (up from 1 cm a few days before) & she said that I'll probably deliver sometime over the next few days.
So I went back home & my mom stopped by so I wouldn't be alone & then my water broke around 9:45pm. Thank god it did because I had no idea how far along I was (my contractions were never really that regular like they tell you to look for). Anyway, I called dh to come home & my mom took me to the hospital. I went into a room right away & put on a gown, they started to ask me questions & get stuff ready when i felt like I had to push. They checked me & I was already 9 cm!
I was so surprised & I kept saying that this isn't what I wanted, I wanted an epidural. The nurses were like, you'll be done in a few minutes! They must have thought I was crazy. We got there at 10:40pm & I delived at 11:23pm, only 30 min of actual pushing & it hurt like crazy!! I still can't even watch the deliveries on any of the baby shows that I like. I don't even want to think about it!
Dh walked in about 1 min after I pushed him out & his eyes were so wide. He didn't take me seriously when I told him I was going to have the baby that day!
Anyway, that's my story. I stayed in the hospital for 2 days & I loved that the baby stayed in my room all day & most of the night. I was very sore from the delivery but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I actually had a scare with some excess bleeding the morning I was supposed to leave the hospital but my ob checked me & it ended up being a small blood vessel that needed to be closed off (sounds bad but it was nothing).
I've been home with the baby for 3 weeks now & things are going so good. He's bfing all the time but he's so cute. I also love that dh works nights so we can do things together during the day. We even went to the park for the first time yesterday to go for a walk. Image Attachment(s):

This is a big possibility for me, and it scares the craap out of me.
I still bother him about it but I wasn't upset at all. He really walked in right as they put the baby on my chest. Everything happened so fast & I didn't care about who was there. He said he was sorry to miss it but he was also glad he didn't have to see me in pain. If he came a few seconds earlier, he would've heard me all the way down the hall!
