Fever 8 days after MMR (with poll)
i just need to feel better....
Em has a fever and is not herself - but has NO other symptoms. I spoke with the after hours nurse last night for about 20 minutes (i was impressed with the level of care honestly)..
it came down to - she had the mmr 7 days ago and it's common in 10% of kids that get them - 6-12 days after to get a fever ranging from 100-104.
her fever last night was 102.7 and tonight it's already back at 100.5....
did your child have a similar thing happen after the MMR???

Peyton had no reaction to the MMR, and I do not recall with Jordan. My neighbor's DD got 104 fever 8 days after the MMR(this was just this past week)

Unfortunately my son had a fever and then a febrile seizure about a week after the MMR

DD had a fever & no other symptoms.
DS ended up having a seizure that they believe could have been from the MMR (it was 7 days later).

C had no reaction whatsoever...but we were told to watch for fever or rash anywhere from 7-15 days after the shot...

Shane got a really high fever on day 9 (almost 104) and it lasted a couple of days. I was kind of expecting it, or at least prepared for it because the nurse warned me, and because I'd read about it happening so much on here. I think that helped me deal with when it happened. Hope emma feels better soon!

DD#1 got 104.3 and a rash on day 9.
DD#2 had no reaction at all.

DD got a rash 9 days after. It went away in 2 days.
DS had no reaction.

My son got a fever and a rash 8 days after getting it. It lasted 3 days and never seemed to bother him. It's been the only vaccine he has a reaction to. He's two now.

Noah had 104 for 2 days and a rash ( from the chiken pox one he got at same time)..
Fevers are typical 7-10 days after the shot.
The 100 fever is really nto a fever at her age, I wouldnt even give any tylenol or motrin at that fever.
The 102.7 isisnt really too high either. I would give tylenol and check in 1 hr , make sure it went down. It doesnt need to go down to normal...anything in the 100 range is ok.
Its scary I know. My kids average 104-105 fevers from vaccinations..when sick...

Sounds like it. Liam got quite a high fever and it lasted a few days. He got the slightest rash.. maybe a few little spots.
