Feeding schedule for 5 week old

Steven was on a great schedule when he came out of the hospital up until about a week ago. He was like clock work, every 4 hours. Now, I don't know what the heck he is doing. And, sometimes he wants 6 or 7 oz and sometimes he barely eats 4. I'm just concerned that when I go back to work, I would like him to be on some sort of schedule.

What are/were your schedules at around 5 weeks. Also, he is around 12 lbs, if that makes a difference.

ETS: Also, I am wasting so much formula because I thought I had to make 6 oz bottles and his last 3 feedings he only ate 4 oz. That's a whole other bottle that's getting tossed.
