Favorite nail polish BRAND?

I love the colors Essie has but the formula just sucks sometimes, streaky and too thick or too thin.

I love Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure but the colors stain my nails sometimes, even with base coat.

I also use OPI, which I love, but they are so damn expensive!

I tried Sinful Colors and ick - terrible terrible formula. Thank god they were only $2 each.

I am hearing good things about Cult Nails, anyone try that brand? Any others you would recommend?

My fave is Butter London. I also really like China Glaze.

Which base are you using? I love Seche Base and Seche Vite for a quick dry top coat. I sometimes switch those up with Butter Nail Foundation and Quick Dry topcoat.

I loooove Butter London but it's just out of my price range unfortunately. I like to collect polishes Chat Icon

I am using China Glaze Base, I can't remember what it's called exactly, but I also want to try CND Stickey for my base and Cult Nails Wicked Fast, but those are not available in any stores around me. I cannot stand the Seche Base, it chips too fast, but I pretty much only use Seche Vite as a top coat.

I do have the Butter nail foundation and quick dry top coat too but they have terrible staying power on my nails.

I really like OPI. I don't buy a ton so I don't really think about the price & for me it lasts really well without chipping.

Confetti - $1.99 at CVS. Goes on smooth and dries quick. Stays on for days without chipping!

Even when I get my finger nails done in the salon they chip within a day so it doesn't seem much different when I do them at home no matter what brands of base & top coat I use.

My toe nails don't chip for a long time whether I do them or go have them done.

I have one of the ORLY collections that I like (Cosmic FX), but not sure how the rest of their polishes are. One of my friends swears by them.

A lot of the polish bloggers like the indies on etsy but I haven't been brave enough to try any out yet.

I have one from Claire's (Poison Apple) that's nearly a dupe of MAC Bad Fairy that I really like, but I haven't tried any of their other colors. Theirs are really affordable. I keep thinking about picking up some of their mood polishes for DD.

Same for me, almost word for word!

I haven't tried Orly yet, i will give that a try as well. I am very hesitant to order from Etsy because they aren't very cheap. What nail blogs do you follow? I am becoming addicted to them very quickly Chat Icon

I like Zoya also, and be sure to make an account with them online. They often do promos where they send an email and you can use a code to get a free polish (like BOGO or some other deal) -- makes it more affordable!

I LOVE Zoya. It's the only brand that doesn't chip within a day, and their color selection is amazing. Watch their fb page for promos

Do you do any nail art on your own? I'm also dying to try out stamping with Konad or M.A.S.H. but I wish I could borrow one before I commit.

I have been noticing that about the essie polish also. The quality lately is just not good, I need at least 3 coats. I've been loving opi as of late

I agree. It lasts just as long if not longer than any OPI or ESSIE that I have.

I like OPI, and I like CHina Glaze!! China Glaze never chips, and stay on better than the expensive ones. Essie colors are great, but I agree it isn't the best

Definitely try Brucci! They are cheap, have a ton of colors, and while I do like Essie a lot, I have to say Brucci last much longer!

Deborah Lippmann - she has really pretty glitters and her polish stays on my nails longer than others. She sells on HSN and Nordstroms.

I had to bump this - I bought two Zoya polishes (Ivanka and Gilda) and I am seriously impressed! Awesome formula and incredible sparkle. I cannot wait to order more!

Re: Favorite nail polish BRAND?

I think the quality of Essie often depends on the nail salon.

When I find an Essie color I love, I buy it and the consistency is much different than it is in the salon. I feel like when they get thick, the nail place puts a thinner in and thats what leads to the poor quality.

I happen to be partial to OPI. My new favorite is "Call Me Gwenever" its part of the Spiderman collection, haha.
