Family vacation for my parents' 40th anniversary - any ideas?

Family vacation for my parents' 40th anniversary - any ideas?
My parents' 40th anniversary is coming up in February and I am thinking of planning a vacation for my immediate family.
That would include:
Me, DH, and our 3 1/2 year old DD
Bro, SIL, 17 year old nephew, 6 mos. old niece
My parents (in their 60s)
I am thinking all-inclusive resort, somewhere not too far away. Perhaps the Dominican Republic? Also, not TOO pricey, but nice enough.
Any thoughts or ideas?? Thanks so much! 
ETA: Names of specific resorts would be much appreciated!

There were a few multi-generational family groups on our cruise to Alaska. The younger people were able to do really active excursions (hiking, biking, helicoptor rides, etc) and the older people were able to do the more relaxed sightseeing stuff.
