Eyeglasses- Where does everyone get theirs? Pref. NW Suffolk Rec's
Any recommendations for a good eyeglass place that has a good selection & isn't insanely expensive?

It's ok. Everything from no name frames to high end designer frames. I go to the one in Westbury, but I am not sure all Costco's have the eyewear department. I find that I have enough frames to select from, and I find that the prices are so much cheaper than independant or chain places. I paid 1/3 less for my latest pair of glasses at Costco than I did for my glasses when I went to Sterling Optical.
Their eyedoctors are independant, so anyone can go to them. Even if you don't have a membership. To get your glasses their, you need to be a member.

Lindy Eye Care in Lindenhurst - 50% off all frames
I got DKNY glasses for a little over $200
My sister got COACH glasses last year for a little over $300 i think
This year she got D&G glass, but I am not sure how much she paid...By it could not have been that much more than $300, my sister is not rich by any means...
The have other non designer frames too, very affordable

I go to Costco in Westbury too. I think the selection is decent, since I am not looking for expensive designer frames, but they do have a wide range of prices. I jsut got a new pair last week, I think the whole thing, frames, lenses and anti glare coating combined came to $130.00.
I don't use their optician anymore, since the last time I went, he gave me the wrong prescription which I didn't realize much later when I went back to my opthamologist once I had decent insurance again. I go to my opthamologist and just pay my co-pay for an exam and then take the prescription to Costco. I have gotten both contacts and glasses there and I think they are cheaper than anywhere else for both.
