My favorite thing about living in Long Island is that it is where I grew up. I have lived in several states since college and I love that my history is here.
I love the EAB Christmas tree (think its rexcorp now but I will always know it as EAB) in the winter. Jones Beach in the summer.
Its where my memories are and that why I love Long Island.

My favorite thing about Long Island is being close to everything- close to NYC, beaches, different parks, and yummy restaurants!

What a great contest! My favorite thing about LI is Fire Island and the fact that my kids were born here and love it.

My favorite thing about LI is the beaches. I live only 25 minutes and it's amazing. I also love the bagels. My family lives out of state, and they always want me to send them bagels from LI.

my favorite thing about LI is that you have a lot of perks you will find in the city: good resteraunts, lots of shopping, transportation etc. but you can still live the quiet suburban life the city does not offer.

It's so hard to choose just one but I think it's THE BEACHES! Specifically, Robet Moses.
I have so many memories of fun times at the beach growing up, in my teens, and now as an adult.

I just relocated to the island from Queens, I love that people are so nice. No one honks at you then the light just turned green. Overall people are just nicer.
Also, the quiet.. holy cow what a difference. I love it. I can't wait to decorate for every holiday

New York City - The Greatest City on Earth!
The Yankees! - The Most Storied Sports Franchise in History!
Beaches!!!
Yet, we still enjoy living in great, quiet, family-friendly suburbs.

My favorite thing about Long Island is that you can have the best of it all.....On one end you have Montauk, peaceful and serene....Whole on the other end you have New York City which gives you everything at your fingertips. Long Island allows you to have it all within a matter of time!

My favorite thing about LI is most definately the beaches! Also how you pretty much are no more than 30 min away from anything. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else!
