ENT Doctor????(Ears,Nose and Throat)
Has anyone ever been to one?
Why did you decide to go and did they help you?

Sinus pain, ear pain adn allergies made me go.
I've been to two ... Dr Hamburg in Smithtown and Dr Cornetta (love him!)in Huntington.

I went to a special surgeon to have my tonsils and adenoids removed (BEST. DECISION. EVER)
And I am seeing one now for chronic sinus infections. He is wonderful and I adore him. He's in Forest Hills.
He recommended a great product if you have sinus issues or allergies - NeilMed Sinus Rinse. It's a completely safe sinus rinse that gets all of the crap out of your sinuses. It rocks

I am having severe sinus pain and headache and now my right ear feels funny.
I'm guessing it's sinus.

I went because when I first started getting really bad headaches they thought they were sinus headaches. Also, because I have a terrible deviated septum they thought that could be the cause of the headaches... turns out they were wrong, but my ENT was very helpful...

I go to Dr. Cornetta also, he is great. Very nice and easy to talk to. I went because I was getting sinus infections all the time and had to make sure I didn't have a polyp or anything in my sinus cavities.
I also have been to him for hearing tests.

That's what i am getting, really bad constant headaches.
Mine were and still are behind my right eye, lost of pressure and (TMI) lots of nasal dripping which leads to an upset stomach... They're still not sure if it's sinuses or plain old migrains. I've had CT Scan and MRIs and the only thing that has come back is a swollen and very narrow nasal cavity.... I would go to your regular dr. and get a referral... if you don't need a referal from your dr. I can recommend my ENT, he's in Bay Shore and he's really good.

I went because I had a lump on my neck & had dizziness. I thought it was an ear infection. They thought it was a tumor.
Luckily we were both wrong.
DH started going to Dr. Cornetta with sinus problems for allergies.

I have a deviated septum and chronic sinus infections. After a CT scan they found a small polyp. One doc suggested surgery, the other said it can wait. I'm glad I went, I got a good course of allergy meds (even though I don't have allergies  they help keep my sinuses clear, and 2 nasal sprays).

I swear by this stuff. I have no formal sinus cavity and it helps keep things clean and orderly for me! I have been using it for over a year!

I think it was helpful. He did the scope up my nose. He examined me and we talked about allergy medication, he sent me for a CT scan, and it was really helpful for him to tell me that a lot of it was referred TMJ pain, because it enver helps to treat the wrong thing.

Well..I made an appt. with a ENT doctor that was recommended by a close family friend, I really hope he helps!
I hate having pain and not knowing what it's from....

My DH has seen Cornetta & I work in the building. He is VERY nice & very easy to talk to. My DH went to him for his snoring & he went for a sleep study & now has a CPAP machine and has no problem anymore.

Well, they've both told me the ear pain (which is HORRENDOUS when I sleep) is actually me grinding/clenching my teeth.
And the first ENT sent me for blood tests and it came back that I was very allergic to dogs (and I have two) so I was put on Zyrtec.
