Engineers for Inspection
Okay I need an Engineer for a house inspection as soon as possible trying to make a list of people to look into.
- Who did you use?
- Were you happy with him/her/them?
- Did they do them on a Saturday?
Oh the house is in Nassau if that makes any difference.

we used Heimer - we were very happy with them and they came on either a saturday or sunday - i cant remember. BUT - they are very expensive. I think it cost $800.

We used Brian Terbush (Terbush Inspection). I dont think the guy could have been more thorough if he tried. He was there for 4 hours.........and I hear the max is usally like 2 1/2 hours.
He is $550 plus $50 if you want him to do the termite inspection which is worth it.

ETA: Yes, we were pleased w/ him.

We used www.pillartopost.com and were happy with them. They do homes in both Suffolk and Nassau.

We highly recommend our inspector......Long Island Home Inspections - John...516-798-6242. He was there for FIVE and a HALF hours . He looked at every nook and crany and encouraged us to walk around with him to show us everything. DH was with him every step of the way (I was there for some ). I admit, he kind of made our heads spin with all the info

same co. we used, but the termite inspection was included in the price, but came on a separate day (I think the day after or 2 days after the house inspection). They were very thorough!

We used Jamie from Housemasters 3x He was great. We were able to make the appts very quckly each time, you get the results in a nice 3 ring binder at the end of the inspection and they also email it to you.
