DS got sick last night w/ Question

So we leave for vacation Saturday and last night my 4 yr old threw up. He tends to throw up more easily and get hiccups fast, but its been a while. I can sometimes hear him stomach gurgling if its too much activity, drinks too fast or laughing too hard.
Just praying its not a virus. No fever. He had pizza last night but nothing strange. He's up now and hasn't thrown up since 1:30am. I can hear his belly gurgle a bit which is normal after throwing up.

Any advise or to give him to help. Hoping he gets better ASAP.

What are some of the symptoms of the stomach virus going around?? DH also had a stomach ache this morning and they both had pizza where me and my other DS didn't and we are fine.

THe virus is usually a few hours of vomiting and then a day of just feeling nasty and then for me my stomach was off for 2 weeks.

If it is the virus be prepared for everyone else to get it. If you happen to not get it you are lucky. THe germs last for 2 weeks on hard surfaces.

I thought I was in the clear but got it a week after my DS.

If you haven't already, bleach the ever living crap out of your house!!!! My younger DS had it New Years Eve day and I cleaned like a maniac. I stripped down everyone 's beds, sprayed the mattresses and put clean sheets on. I was able to contain it to just DS. He felt almost back to himself the very next day and no one else ever got sick. But I'm not kidding when I say wash your hands after touching anything and everything. My hands were raw by the end of the day. But I'll take raw hands over puking.

I agree with above. Hubby got it 2 weeks ago & I went into full cleaning mode from the minute he got sick. I used rubber gloves touching everything he came in contact with & bleached the entire house up until 2 dats after he was ok. We contained it to him only.

Thanks ladies! Don't want to jinx, but I think it was something he ate last night. He's been totally fine and ate some food earlier. Lots of energy and no fever and hasn't thrown up since 1:30AM last night.

Still washing and cleaning up EVERYTHING, but that's just me anyway.

Sounds like it was something he ate. The sauce may not of been cooked all the way... Or if there was meat on the pizza. If he is eating and drinking now with no issues I would think he is ok. How is your husband feeling?

Everybody in my house had it this week.. Both DD and DD threw up several times with no warning and was totally fine after. DH and I threw up a ton and felt HORRIBLE for two days with headaches, chills, and back aches.. It was a rough one. It caught everybody off guard. I hope your son feels better!
